I went to see a new friend/genealogy cousin today at her home. Honest to gosh, it was just the nicest experience! She and her hubby have created the most beautiful and peaceful place....She was an antique dealer for years, mostly of early American creative works and textiles by women....

It was truly a once in a lifetime experience...EVERYTHING she has collected, is displayed in EVERY room in very interesting and creative ways. Stitcheries, samplers, toy collections, old colonial and pioneer bonnets, dresses, children's clothes, books in collections, tiny books, and tiny kids books and many more etcs....all from about late 1700's to early 1800's....

The gardens she has created have been featured in a magazine...they started with nothing, and now have bower after bower, all different, unique, and including multi secret gardens...

We sat on the back long porch with all the lovely gardens and bowers around, and ate lunch, including a visit from a very tame squirrel who came and sat and begged for a piece of bread...he wasn't nutty about salad however...

Then we went through some old scrapbooks and pictures....

What a lovely, lovely day, warm summer day, and I wish a day for all of you to be like that soon....
