Hot enough for you? June-July top the all-time charts

i haven't been checking records here,
but it's been mighty warm for weeks on end.
humidity is especially high.

The National Weather Service said
there is some chance for higher than
normal temperatures over the next two weeks
but there's no clear signal about what
the rest of August will feel like.

well, we're into august now, and it's more of the same.
almost hitting the "intolerable level" for
a few hours each afternoon.
normally, we don't mind the heat here at the farm,
but with the humidity has come very still air
and blazing sun.
take this morning -- not a breath of moving air
and it's supposed to go over 90 with 100%
humidity this afternoon and UV index at 8 or very high.

must be just wonderful in places where the heat
is cranking up over 100. earlier this morning,
i checked a few forecasts for cities around the U.S.
there are plenty of high 90s and several over 100s among
the bunch. Kind of surprising to see temperatures
so high in many towns and cities along the PNW.
