let's take a poll on profile or not profile.

If majority want to profile let's get on with it and leave the lady old ladies alone

I would think the majority would want to know some specifics - and I think that is where you profilers would run into trouble.

I don't think you could come up with something specific that has a chance to be enacted.

You would have to come up with some guidelines for a cop at Grand Central Station or a screener at Logan Airport to pull people out of the crowd for further scrutiny.

You would probably have to provide them with a color chart wrt skin color, hair profile for color and texture, and perhaps a chart for shapes of noses - not to mention weight, height, and age specifics. I think clothing would be another hint. I don't think they ever caught terrorists wearing Ralph Lauren labeled clothing. Maybe those people should get a pass - just to keep the lines moving a little faster.

Just like they have HOV lanes when driving, pedestrians should have a LOWLL (Little Old White Lady Lanes) - there is no need to bother those people. Anybody trying to dress and act like a Little Old White Lady will be yanked out of the LOWLL line and spanked publicly just like some traffic cops do in some third world countries.

Brave New Carragher World, you have seen nothing yet.
