OT: This is my last post on this OT subject. Abbas would have no reason to lie about Bush's statement. Whatever his "cause", misrepresenting what Bush said wouldn't serve it, since he needs Bush badly. I think Abbas was telling the truth.

Cling to your belief that Bush doesn't believe he's doing God's work all you like, a mountain of evidence proves otherwise. Bush is the worst President in my lifetime - and that includes Jimmy Carter, my previous nominee for the title. At least Jimmuh was a GENUINE Christian, not a phony.
