Jon, thanks for the heads up. I just got off the phone with Ameritrade and elected the cash option. They will "freeze" my shares so they can't be sold. They indicate the offer deadline is Aug 19. They don't know how fast the deal will close, but they indicate that it is usually only a week or so after the deadline to get the cash in similar situations in the past.
