People who talk about the rich just getting richer need to wait a generation or too :)

War, tax etc. inheritance splitting the wealth up and then the following generations who subtract value (as we have been hearing following Lachlan's resignation) like my father's uncle who wasn't such a good trader as his ancestors it seems. My father's half sister in London claims she is poor though she inherited her father's business in metals trading. She has a house and a lot of antiques but doesn't want to give that up.

At some point a generation takes the brainpower and reinvests it well and starts the cycle all over again...
