Please disregard the last message..that was from my wife testing the site. I have not been able to post here for five months or so, much to my befuddlement. Until finally i complained to my wife (the electronic genius of the family) and she somehow unblocked the site for me. Really not much to say other than Idaho is treating us nicely. Our home is completely landscaped, garage finished, and i'm now completing the driveways with acrylic stains. Our home has gone up about $100,000 in the last ten months and Boise is just a boomtown for real estate. Empty nesters, get-out-before-the-bubble-breakers, speculators, and investors of all ilks, are flocking in here buying 10-12 homes at a wack. We are now looking for another home or will possibly build on the lot across the street. Home building is not rocket science up here, since virtually every phase of home construction is sub-contracted out. You do not even have to be a general contractor to build. All you need is money and you will make more money, no questions asked. Along with a ridiculously low cost of living, some good friends, and some beautiful scenery, one could not ask much from a state. So, I guess we will not be returning to CA anytime soon (if ever). |
