I think we should continue to be hypocrites about our immigration system, and look the other way when hard workers come in and then when they succeed act all surprised that they're here and give them amnesty, just as we've been doing for decades.

The problem most people have is that they don't know history, so whenever they come up with a solution, they imagine it's a brand new thing that's never been tried before. They don't remember the times it's been tried before and the unintended consequences.

Closing the borders won't keep Mexicans out, they'll just come here and stay, instead of making money and going home. That's what they did the last two times we closed the borders.

I am not old enough to remember but I do know how to read history.
