I think it is more difficult for that too happen in Florida. Here the hispanics seem to have gained much more economic clout and dominate local economies to an extent that can only be said for only one large metro area outside of the state, San Antonio. But here the ownership society is in full swing benefiting blue collar and lovers of RE investment (which most hispanics will always invest in) disproportionately along with being the gateway for trade with South America. I do get the sense well educated gringos (outside of health care and law)who need to work for a living are leaving this state in droves.
