Forget the cool breezes--nice, modern movie theatres are where I'm hanging out this weather (as the Irish would say). There are several movies I want to see--Broken Flowers, Junebug, several other art movies--but they aren't at the frigid suburban movie houses. So I saw Wedding Crashers a couple of days ago, which was nice because my ticket stub entitled me to 50% off an entree at the local restaurant. I really made an evening of it! I love Owen Wilson but Wedding Crashers was sort of stupid. However, there are lots of times I laughed, and I enjoy that. Not during the Will Ferrell cameo--it was purposeless and he was horrible. Today I saw Must Love Dogs, a romantic comedy that has gotten pretty bad reviews. But it has Diane Lane and especially John Cusack, whom I adore. It is a sweet nice summer movie, and the dogs are really happy and handsome. Definitely a pleasant two hours for women. Men might find it boring (unless they are really into Diane Lane).
