As with many others on this thread, you are confusing the war (when the above things you described happened) with what is going on today in Iraq (when the things I described are happening).

I call today's efforts humanitarian because the benefit to the US are much less than the costs. The US could leave Iraq entirely in a week, and the US would be just fine. It's the Iraqis that (may or may not) be worse off.

As for where I get off, that's none of your business.
