On the Washington Times, I pick it up whenever I'm in some locale that sells it. What a waste of ink and paper. It's bad enough, along with Fox News, to consider a national standards board for media. Something like at least a smidging of distance, even a little smidging between their "news" and the Republican party line before they can be considered a serious news organization, something like a "newspaper" or a "TV news organization." Otherwise they are to be considered simply PR outfits for the Republican Party. No more; no less.

As for the real journalists, they've simply taken their responsibility to critique the administration, whichever party happens to hold the administration, they've simply abrogated that responsibility. With only a few shining exceptions.

Elizabeth Bumiller, for instance, in the NYTimes; Anne Kornbluh (sp.), also in the NYTimes; Jim Hoagland in the WP, all are barely journalists in the sense that title is meant to convey some sort of distance from the object of their coverage.
