The BIG police departments weigh in heavily on the side of the law. Wonder why?

They also point out the AW (or rifle) is rarely used anyway, it's handguns they usually encounter - which makes sense because you want to conceal the weapon until you're ready to commit the crime.

What's the primary purpose of an automatic weapon? Please don't point out the imperfections in the current law when you reply.
