Ever notice that most of the homeless are white males even in cities where they are the minority?

Men are less likely to seek medical care for mental illness and drug addiction. White men are less likely to be forced into psychiatric facilities against their will because they are less likely to be involved with the criminal justice system. Hence, more mentally ill white males are on the street than are in hospitals and jails where the mentally ill usually wind up. You have to figure 2% of the population has serious mental illness and 1 in 7 will experience an addiction problem at some point in their lives. Since it is easier for a homeless person to eek out an existance in a city, cities attract the homeless from all over.
