No government official can police the deregulated energy companies. That is the point, Bush and his ilk schemed to deregulate, but kept their powder dry until 2000, then attacked us all. Once they were gouging there was absolutely nothing Clinton or Davis could do to stop it. The entire energy sector needs to be re-regulated. It is a huge-huge criminal conspiracy much bigger even than the 300 billion+ S+L debacle.
