The SEC has no jurisdiction over energy prices or gouging.

They were negligent on Enron's finances, but remember, the real abuses only escalated in the last two years, and Arthur Anderson and others were covering up for them.

See the film ENRON and you'll see how they managed to hide their abuses until their final year or so. Same way Bushies hide many of their secrets. By coverups, paying people to lie, bribing officials and destroying the evidence.

Halliburton is the next big scandal but is is very tied in with the CIA so it's tricky.
