Wednesday September 10 10:10 AM EDT CORRECTED - Nasdaq hits third high, small caps NEW YORK, Sept 9 (Reuter) - Nasdaq barreled onward and upward Tuesday, hitting its third consecutive record high with a strong showing by networking companies and continued gains by some small-capitalization stocks. Nasdaq soared 10.87 points, or 0.66 percent, to 1,656.22 points. Dealers said volume was heavy and trading was volatile. ``Our desk gets busier and busier and busier with names that are not big huge names,'' said one. ``People want to be exposed to the smaller names.'' Small-cap winners included KeraVision (KERA), which gained more than 3 to 10-3/16 on positive test result for its vision product. American Dental Technologies Inc (ADLI) gained 2-3/4 to 9-1/2 on a positive earnings forecast, and Individual Inc (INDV) rose 1-3/8 to 4-7/8 after AT&T (T) picked Individual's (corrects company name) Intranet technology for itsglobal services sales unit. Winning networking stocks included Ascend (ASND), which gained 2-6/16 to 42-9/16, and 3Com Corp (COMS), which advanced 3-7/16 to 51-1/2. [OFF TOPIC > Tim, your opinion ASND, lower support @38?
