I am hesitant to post when I don't know the person who is writing the article.. As Bill said it could all be faux... It takes time to check out the authenticity and verify that the person is legit and even then in this world of falsehoods and propaganda one does not know...

Sources are everything. The only way that I discovered the post from the Iraq embedded reporter was that someone e mailed it to me whose opinion I respect..

But I will post when I have the time to really check out things. Your statement that there are atrocities on both side was what prompted it. I know from first hand experience with the veterans from Korea as I worked with them at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation in 1952.... etc.... They told me.what they did in a bragging way.. I think that what people fail to realize are that all soldiers cannot be controlled. When rape occurs it is usually because an officer was not present and the troops that get there first are apt to act out... Anyway, not all people are good, kind or benevolent and if I were in war and saw my buddy killed I might behave like a maniac too... Since we are not there.. and we are not experiencing what the soldiers are... it's unfair to judge at times.
