it's like lindy mentioned about 20% of us are going to be heavy drinkers or take a X%. It can happen on the first drink, on the second year , ten years, who knows. Like smoking imo if not available at a younger age perhaps you do not turn to alcohol. It was quite common and the social thing to drink in my younger years. I don't think i knew anyone who didn't drink except my wife. g

my position is not to supply alcohol to minors. same with cigs.

I have nothing against anyone drinking as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. Addiction can happen at any age for a number of reasons. One story i heard was a man who retired and used to take the bus to atlantic city ,it was free in those days, gamble and return. free drinks,, he became an alcoholic at age 65 lost everything.
