I've stuck with cable, even though I hate the cable companies, for HS internet because I've had some bad DSL experiences. I bought a $300 dsl modem to get one service that went out of business. Then, I had to buy a different modem for the company that bought their customers. I had a lot of trouble with the service. When I complained, I was directed in this daisy chain - the DSL company blamed my ISP, the ISP blamed the phone co., the phone company blamed the DSL provider. Never again! Maybe it's better now. I was an early adopter.
