Nomai recently announced the MCD540, a 540MB drive (removable cartridge, similar to Jaz) for $299; disks are $60 each zdnet.com Does anyone think this device is a threat at all to IOMG's Jaz? Actually this drive has been around for several months now--I first saw it in MacUser magazine's mail order section in the first quarter of this year. Since no one else has mentioned this drive, can we assume it is a non-competitor? BTW, speaking of MacWorld... the Zip is selling like "hot cakes" according to a friend of mine who was there. Show prices are $109 for the Zip, $92 for a Gigapack of disks; $429 for the Jaz and $499 for a 5-pack of disks. Winston
