If I'm in the middle of a raging thunderstorm, my picture might break up and pixelate for a few seconds. After a power outage, the Tivo has to download the schedule again from the satellite - it might take five minutes. Other than those two really minor things, it's been much better than the cable I had previously had. To be fair, I didn't have digital cable, and the DirecTV service I have is digital.

My old cable service seemed to go down much more often than the satellite service does.
