"There is a great need for liberal thinkers who employ sound reasoning to engage in the problems of our day." Imo the problems of our day are that our nation and many others around the world are in grip of scoundrels. Sound reasoning is unlikely to defeat these bastards, whose supporters are not part of the "reality based community." The way to defeat them is to spit in their faces over and over again until the cretins who support them finally come to understand that the party is over for them. The courageous Iraq war veteran who nearly won a seat in Congress did this by calling George W. Bush a son of a bitch, in public and on the record. That was a good start, but we have much further to go in the years ahead. Hopefully come 2008 our nation will be in a state of near anarchy as disgust with the Bush Cabal and with the second Bush Recession mobilizes the masses to ride the no good sobs out of town on a rail. If not, and we continue on our current course, what the hell. The U.S. had a good 225 year run, nothing good lasts forever.
