I have been considering satellite. Have you had any problems caused by heavy weather??

Todays digital dishes are totally reliable, from my experience, except when it snows. Have to scrape it off the dish but, like you say, in FL, no problem. Rain isn't an issue or wind either, if the dish is buttoned down tight. The only other problem I've ever had is a couple times a year when the angle of the earth causes the satellite to pass directly in front of the sun causing 5 minutes or so of static.

I'm in a north facing condo at present and can't mount a dish so am stuck with cable, but given a choice, I'd be back to satellite in a minute...
