I find her situation curious and tragic. She has changed her perception, and description of her earlier visit with Bush. I see two possibilities:

1) She was grieving at the time of her visit and was not able to see things for what they were. She initially gave a positive report. Now that she has had some time to get over her loss she is outraged by her circumstance. 2) She represented the situation honestly the first time but her horrible loss is now being exploited by political activists.

In either case, I am sorry for her.
