but what form that attraction takes and how it is expressed and why it exists - well, who knows.

My friend-now dead-spent his last years and two million on it. Physicists are all looking outside the atom. He thought it was a resultant force of the interaction between the nucleus and the electron. I don't have the math or science for it. TWT.
