You should subscribe online to ceweekly.com As part of the deal, you will get a Directory of all the contract service firms in the USA and Canada, etc. By getting your resume on file with all of them (..using their mailing service, or individually by emial or snail mail..) you can looking for piping inspector or supervisor, welding engineer or tech or piping painting jobs in WI, IL, IA and MN that would be a quick drive from where your at. You don't have to take any of those assignment, but you'd be aware of where they were and be able to check with the local Local, presuming your Union and work through the Hall. As a Pro Contract Engineer, that's how I did it all over the USA in electrical/controls/instrumentation. John :-) .
