Joel Bainerman's ideas need to be expanded upon. I read mail threads that are discussing transitioning peak oil. The website Journey to Forever dot Com has the best thread and mail group I belong to. I belong to about three mail groups that are seriously exploring options to the carbon based society. Valid alternative to current distribution systems. Alternative production development and decentralization techniques for sustainability.

That is the answer. Sustainability.

It eliminates fear, anger and greed.

But its tooooo damn simple.

And our present energy and food system is ready for a collapse and it is almost too late to make a difference. We are out of time and must act now.

And use the best tool we have.

Our minds..... We have to postition our communities and families for very hard times. Immediately.

If even ten percent of the posts that you have posted here are correct or anywhere close to accurate an extreme depression will seem like a walk in the park.

My grandparents stories of the depression still ring in my head. None of it sounded like fun to me. And they lived through it. Along with millions and millions of others.

Just imagine it lasting twenty or thirty or forty years.
Along with a war that has already been stated to be the war that never ends.

Damn. Wheres the Kool-Aid?
