Voters vote how they "feel" at the time. You don't have to look any further than 2004 to see that.

Since you and the democrats keep running around saying Bush sucks and America sucks, you'll keep losing elections.

At least Clinton would say "Bush1 sucks, but "we" can do better". Clinton made people feel better. Kennedy, Pelosi, Reed, Schumer, Byrd, Kerry, and the rest of the hate crowd only have hate to run on. If you can't come up with a reason for someone to vote for you, you will not win.
