DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 1997--Coherent Communications Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:CCSC - news) has introduced an exclusive program, the Coherent Customer Assurance Program (CAP), for its wide range of echo cancellation products. With this new program, customers will annually receive the latest software release for their Coherent voice quality enhancement products, eliminating product obsolescence and ensuring that customers always have the latest software to deliver the best voice quality for their network.
CAP is especially critical with the growing technical complexity of interconnected networks and with the different network infrastructures, such as TDMA, GSM and CDMA. As these technologies become even more sophisticated, echo control will similarly be more complex. With this program, Coherent will keep carriers current, allowing them to meet their subscribers' high expectation levels for service and voice quality.
Available through Coherent's Technical Assistance Center (TAC), CAP extends Coherent's product coverage and services by providing:
Annual on-site visits, with a skilled TAC technician checking all aspects of a customer's echo cancellation equipment, as well as providing refresher training courses. Annual software upgrades, performed on-site to ensure that the user's echo canceller platform is operating on the latest applicable software release for optimum performance. Unlimited telephone support via the TAC help desk, where technicians are on permanent stand-by, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Discounted training courses, enabling customers to train new staff on-site or at Coherent's headquarters, as well as providing advanced training on specific topics. Free product repair and an extended mail back warranty, for fast and efficient repairs on any defective echo canceller boards.
TAC is managed centrally from Coherent's worldwide headquarters in Virginia, working closely with local account teams located strategically around the world, to ensure the most appropriate usage of the technicians' time.
