i would expect that to be the norm..

but on the other hand i found where they took kids out of their shell, gave them leadership responsibilities, added to the community , did a lot of charity work. It seemed mostly the girls in college who held sorority positions were very responsible. Of course, i only interviewed those who were high achievers.

in all the interviews i did the women were far more assertive in interviews, than the men. It seemed hard to find guys excited about the interview, their accomplishments or looking for a job. I do remember some kids telling me the college helped with roll playing, feedback and recording mock interviews.

I remember seeing the same sports jacket six times one day on campus interviews up in boston. Between interviews i looked out back through one of the windows and watched as the next guy (this day all men interviewed no women) coming in was swapping with the one who just left, THE jacket. gg some things you over look if you get a good candidate. I referred two of them in that day and both did very well with the company however neither were from Boston one from ny, the other ct. As the dean said to me that night at a reception. why you here? You know none of these kids will leave Boston area. I agreed but being from Boston i get sent up here and each year i suggest we stop interviewing here. g
