scott, are you saying that there was a write-off of stale/uncollectable receivables? if that was the case, would such a write-off impact the revenue line? wouldn't there be a charge to a reserve? my accounting is rusty, so please forgive the question if it's a stupid one. btw, the stock is up 1/8 from what may have been a bottom a little while ago. this can change on a dime if funds decide to charge for the exit, but it's nice to have temporary relief... tom later - i'm not disagreeing with your premise that this is an attempt to clean up the b/s prior to a stellar 4th q. the statement from the company has some of the earmarks of the big bath, not that that does us much good short-term. tom
