Thomas, My DSL is provided by the telephone company too, and my phones work when the power is out, but with no electricity for the CPU, monitor, printer, scanner, etc. there is no way to use the computer when the electric power is out. Unless you have a power source of your own, the DSL connection may be there, but there is no way to use it.
