Well then, I would reccommend even the smallest of UPS for your CPU, DSL modem and or network routers. Sometime I get few second outages. If there is an extended outage, I have time to power down my systems. If you have a CRT and not a flat panel, I would not UPS the CRT. Whatever UPS you have will go longer without driving CRT monitors.

The UPS also does a great job of isolating computer stuff from line surges. But to me the best advantage is the immunity from few to several second power outages.
