Why should we be responsible for the Viet Namese? Now you're sounding like a liberal?!? They can take care of themselves. If we want to take responsibility for people we can start right here in America. The money we spent destroying Viet Nam hurt our own country by denying us resources.

Besides, as I clearly stated, we didn't do the Viet Namese any favors at all. They were ready to unite and end the strife in the mid 1950s, and then we interferred, and then bombed the hell out of their country. They needed our help like they needed a whole in their heads. They might have eventually evolved away from Communism if we just let them be in the 1950s, as they have in recent years. Now, we do business with Viet Nam like any other country.

That war was utterly misguided and insane, and if you still support that nonsense after all Viet Nam has been through and is now today, the you are too.
