VPI, RRC, DRQ, ATW, and the SLoB - added short. Added to initial positons started from last week in KWK, DO, & RIG. BRY gave me $20 and ATW wasn't far behind on the last go 'round. Late August/early September quite frequently seems a lot of savvy fund managers cash out of Nat Gas pureplays... ie: KWK & RRC - they've had nice runs here...I be thinking someone's going to be sweeping in some profits here soon. BRY & VPI very "oily" names & heavilly levered to moves in crude - also with big moves - VPI, more so than BRY...it's not yet fully recovered from it's earlier TKO from this spring (vbg). Just probing the waters here... nothing heavy (yet). Just like the perp who ended up looking down Dirty Harry's .44 mag who said - "I gots to know"...did you fire 5, or 6 ? .... I gots to know. Crude pop today off of this Inventory Build, on lower China Demand, on Crude being turned away in Indonesia and Jet Fuel at 10 year highs in Europe... with Oil and Nat Gas levels in the US still at 5 year Inventory levels more indicative of $24 Oil than $64 - in this Economic Environment with Europe slowing as well ? ... I "gots to know" - Was today Short Covering in Oil... or just more Speculative Disconnect ? Cramer says "speculation" is good. - this is definitely "speculation" here (vbg). I hope it ends up being "good" ~ ;)
