JohnM, No, that was back in the good old days. :^) Class of 57, when Old Army was still alive and well. The total student body was a little over 8,000. Now it is coed, with 45,000 students, and all of the traditions are about gone. During WW2, there were more combat officers from A&M than all of the other military schools combined. The Rangers that climbed Point de Hoc, on DDay were led by an Aggie. Later on, he became the head of the college.
