I know I'll get hollered at for criticizing women again, but I'll say it anyway. A neurotic woman will crave attention the way Whitney Houston craves crack. I think it's their way of making up for the fact that when they were little girls, their fathers didn't see them the precious little princesses they thought they were. I've seen it a thousand times.

And you think this is legitimate political discourse?
Please!

Whether Sheehan is "deranged" or not, I don't know. Losing a child can certainly derange someone. Last year, she said she and her husband had questions about the war but they felt that the meeting with the president was not the time or place to confront that. They respected the office and the man in the office. That sense of propriety and appropriateness is sadly lacking these days, and it was impressive- and a far cry from "deranged".
But if she is "neurotic" and "crazy" because she is having trouble dealing the loss of her son in a war many see as wrong, and she is trying to find some meaning again in her life, then she deserves better than the condescending, ugly crap written above.
