The US is not acting on principle. We are acting on power. Ironically, what we have shown is that our power is very limited. We are a far weaker nation today than we were when Bush took office. Our military is weaker. Our ability to lead the world is weaker. Our economy is weaker. Bush has sapped the strength of America - acting out of a misguided notion of superpower ideology and not out of principle as is so often claimed.
