It was no hassle at all. Install Thunderbird and go to tools/import and you can get your address book, mail, and settings and import them to Thunderbird. I love seeing the spam delivered and then sent to my trash bin. I've been running it for about a month and after marking emails as spam it has learned which to automatically trash. I usually have to mark a couple of new ones per day. Beats the heck out of the twenty or so I was getting with OE and creating rules to limit them. There are spam filters available for OE but I never tried any of them.

From what I have read CounterSpy is a top-notch program. Several review sites say it is the best available.
