I read that in our paper down here. The problem is several fold with folks feeding them and getting them used to humans and us encroaching on their areas. People feed birds and draw in the bears and then refuse to quit feeding birds and let the bear move on and then whine because the bear is now a nuisance. And of course the more close encounters we all have the more likely we are to run into one that is ornery.
