XEC -- I listened to the CC Tuesday and was left with the impression that these are good straight-forward people who have had a less-than-stellar qrtr and are still working at digesting MHR. --- I am inclined to distrust smooth-talking types who know just the right way to say something for their own advantage. The guys at XEC seemed to me to lay out the facts without trying to spin much. I like that. --- I had a low-ball bid in Tuesday at the close in hopes that we'd see a serious dip then on big volume, but that didn't happen. The sell-off Mon & Tues wasn't at all dramatic. I don't think there will be a dramatic recovery for XEC either. --- I don't think WS is going to prize XEC for a while yet. I will keep an eye on it myself for signs of movement, but I'm not buying as yet. At some point XEC will look attractive as a laggard beginning to move or perhaps as an acquisition target and will be a good bet to outperform. But that will not happen today or for a while, imo. As always just my humble opinion, & I am often wrong. ---d
