Bush's Christian talk is cheap. Anyone can say they're a Christian. But the proof is in acts and actions. Look then at Bush's policies which clearly favor the rich, the big corrupt corporate lobbyists, polluters, war industry, big tobacco, toxic chemicals, nuclear weapons, gas gougers, etc.
Bush was never religious until he claims he had a re-birth as he quit drinking. He had a meeting with Billy Graham (who does not support Bush by the way) and came away claiming to be "saved". However, there is no evidence of Bush ever doing anything truly christian in his life, a la Jimmy Carter for instance, giving his time to help the poor, sick, needy, etc. In fact just the opposite. His first three budget cuts were health care to the poor, medical research and environmental protection. Yet he boosts spending to fat cat cronies like big oil who are already awash with excess profits. |
