After Scotland we only had time for London and Paris. I'd say the museums are the first must. We went to all we could. The Vcitoria and Albert, the National Gallery, the Tates, the Imperial War Museum, the Natural History Museum, the small Sir John Sloan Museum, /the Museum of London, I know I'm forgetting some. Buy a good guidebook and go to all the top listed places.

Then you have to just walk around the city. Liberty (the store) was a MUST for me. I collect their scarves, and Tudric silver. The high rent shopping district is amazing even if you don't buy anything- but indulge yourself.

You've got to see the changing of the guard- just so you can say you did it. And it was pretty impressive. It's fun just to watch all the other people watching it.

The parks are marvelous. Sit on a bench, watch London stroll by you. We enjoyed that a lot. We walked to Baker street and the Sherlock Holmes museum, and visited Abbey Road. :-) Every day was packed full of MUSTS. But no matter what you do it will be special. It's a very special place.

Oh- and the Tower of London tour was well worth the money. Very interesting place. Make sure you do the boat ride on the Thames too. We did it more than once.
