What didn't you hear, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"?

What is interesting about these boards, is that you can go back in time and see the perspectives as they were. I found my little walk down the memory lane useful. If you look at the dates of the links just in my previous post, they are all just before or after the Iraq invasion.

It is interesting to note how much the Neocons wanted to "create their own reality" and "get back at Iran" before even seeing how Afghanistan would turn out, let alone Iraq. You do remember Wolfie's, "Everyone wants to go to Baghdad, real men want to go to Tehran" statement, don't you?

The irony is that both Iran and Syria were quite willing to be accommodating at March 2003...too late now. The whole fiasco had the feel of the internet bubble when an internut player could get $100+ for worthless stocks, but would not part with them because he thought it would go to the moon.

Consider this a political power bubble.
