But your conclusions are not that far away from mine. I am led to a milestone/timetable solution where iraqis get fair warning we will leave at a stated time. Personally i think that will help impel iraqis to help themselves but no sure outcome to that. I think it is a bogus claim that the terrorists will go and hide for a year until we do leave. That strategy would be stupid for the terrorists for that would allow the iraqis breathing room to prepare for the return of the terrorists.
Getting back to point #1, most jews are and have been against the war, some neocons are indeed jews but many are not and Israel although being supportive of the war certainly hasnt benefited in any material way. In any case you should separate the three(jews,neocon,israel) so your motives wont be suspicious and you wont get lumped in with the anti semetic crazies that are around in "liberal" circles these days.
As far as #2 contractors go, i see that as a byproduct of the war and the Evangelicals march to a differnt tune in the mideast, africa and elsewhere. I do think oil comes into play and he will leave the democratic impulse as an alternative to bin ladenism in the neocon camp even though it originated with wooodrow wilson. And we shouldnt forget oil which has backfired. Just paid $2.50/gallon. mike
