I think anyone that camps in that dusty dessert for attention AND uses the memory of her son as an excuse for political gain is sick.

I am wondering what aspect of it you find "sick?"

She clearly sees the war as misguided. Do you find that "sick?"

She's clearly grieving the loss of her beloved son in a war she finds unwarranted. Do you find that "sick?"

She seems to feel that no more young men or women should be sacrificed in an effort she believes is unjust, or senseless, or something and she wants to encourage this country to stop it. Do you find that "sick?"

She's demonstrating in a way that's designed to garner the most publicity for her cause by trying to get as close to this insulated president as possible. Do you find that "sick?"

She is, unfortunately, the mother of a dead soldier who died in the Iraq war effort. That's what makes her newsworthy. Do you believe that those who lose loved ones in Iraq should not oppose the policies of the war? Is doing so "sick?"

Or do you just feel that camping "in that dusty dessert" is "sick?"

I imagine that abortion protestors who manned the lines outside abortion clinics, black men and women who picketed "white only" businesses, the mothers of the "missing children" in South America along with many others who used the same tactics, sometimes effectively and sometimes not, were not considered "sick" by you. I honestly don't see what is "sick" about this protest. I imagine it is more about your political views than it is about her methods but maybe you can enlighten me? Ed
