If this was true, the biggest example of closed economies, that had nothing coming in, would had been successful and capitalism would have been collapsed. The COMECOM, satellites of the former USSR, just rottened and died. I'm, right now, in an economy closed for about 25 years. The car is a 42 year aold design. And if I look around, I can tell is is not only the cars that don;t look good! Absolutely nothing looks good.
