I guess you refer to John on the small boat I was on. That's is John's boat and not a Sea Scout Ship. George to the right is a Mate of Ship110. I believe I was also wearing sospenders.

On a Seascout ship one leads with command. On anothers ship one leads by example.

In Sea Scouting safety and survival is part of the drill. And cold water is discussed.
