Well, I think there are several things going on. Roberts was clearly part of the Bush I administration's efforts to support Operation Rescue in the courts. Operation Rescue's tactics, in many places, went well beyond peaceful protest. They tried to physically block women from entering abortion clinics. Happened, for one, in the next town over from us. That's an issue. Did NARAL handle it well in the ad? Looks as if they didn't. Did this help the Rovians? Yep. Is that bad for the powers of light and truth? Yep.
